Is it possible to use the M+ USB inputs in controller mode?

Hi!

I've been using Maschine for a bit over a decade now and just upgraded to a Maschine+, which I've mostly been using in standalone mode. However, I also like to make DJ sets using modular setups in Ableton, with a lot of different controllers… And cable management can get quite tedious.

So, I was wondering whether it was possible to connect some of those midi controllers (eg Akai MPK, Numark stuff, Komplete Kontrol, Maschine MKII, etc) to my PC using the Maschine+'s USB/MIDI inputs (like in standalone mode). A lot of controllers allow this (like Pioneer controllers), but it doesn't seem to work for me. Hopefully someone has a solution to this!

If not possible, is this something that would be possible to implement in a future OS/driver update?

I'm pretty sure the USB A sockets are part of the onboard processor PCB, so they aren't active when using it as a controller (unlike the B port which is part of the main Maschine PCB).

@PK The DJ thanks, hopefully it'll be addressed in newer iterations of Maschine… It's such a wasted opportunity!
