High CPU-usage on MacBook Air M2

Hi guys,

anyone of u experiencing this high of a cpu-usage on Maschine ? (pic attached)

I have a new MacBook Air M2, 16gb RAM and checked the activity monitore while one of my projects was running. Usually I got like 2-3 instances of serato, 8 drum samples ,a massive baseline , 1-2 Kontakt instruments, a Raum and some Replika going on. The Laptop still runs fast and fluently, no crackles or anything else. Is 136 % a normal number? Never cared about stuff like this in the past, so I'm not very familiar with all those percentages and stuff …

maybe u can give me your numbers so I have a comparison.

    Yes.

MacOS Activity monitor is strange, it's not a 0-100 percentage, for me on a M1 it has to reach about 260% for me to actually have audio issues on a small buffer of 32. With more CPU Cores it goes even higher. Just ignore it…

What matters most is the CPU Meter inside Maschine's top bar to the right.

Even when you reach Maschine's limits the overall CPU usage of the system should still be about 40/50%, at least in smaller buffer sizes.

ok, thanks for the hint about the cpu-meter of Maschine! I was a little bit concerned after the apple-support told me those numbers are very high 😂 but they didn't know about Maschine as a "DAW" … Still got the oldest 2. version of Maschine though.
