I don't believe there is one but it's not an upgrade. It works side by side with Maschine 2.
No, NI does not offer Maschine demos, even tho the sw has a demo mode.

Strange, no demo. I would like to test some VST2 compatibility issues that existed in the past, got fixed, got re-introduced, git fixed, I think. And how it works as a VST inside Cubase. Not even a single video out on the VST version… Guess I'll wait.
