Hi Guys. I have performed the latest F/W update to my S61 keyboard and are now experiencing a certain degree of latency…..enough to affect creating a recording. I have tried various plugins and get the same amount of latency. I have also tried changing the buffer size on my Audio interface but no joy. I did not have this issue before the upgrade so can only assume that there may be an issue with the F/W. Can anybody shed some light on this issue or have experienced it themselves?

Hi Guys. I thought I'd let you know that I think I've found the problem and for you to be aware of. I recently updated a Realtek driver on my PC, release version Realtek 6.0.9749.1. So I skipped back to the older version and it seems to have cured the latency problem. This might not be the case on all PC's but just so you are aware if you do decide to update your Realtek drivers. 😉

    Thanks for the followup!

Yeah, latency can often be the result of audio interface issues, or of having the wrong ASIO driver selected in the configuration.

To cure this permanently - you should really consider using your pro level NI hardware with a real ASIO audio interface and not the built in computer soundcard from Realtek.

Thanks for responses guys. I did have one Vocalpoint but it bricked. I was using the PC audio temporarily and ir seemed to cope fairly well. I have now installed a Stienberg UR22C and I love it. Thanks again guys.
