Maschine 3 hardware compatibility

Hello,

I knew that Maschine 3 (software) would not work on my Maschine Mk2 (hardware), but I didn't realize it wouldn't work with my Mk1 keyboard - the specs didn't say anything about Komplete Kontrol.

Can anyone confirm this is true? Just want to ensure I'm not just doing something wrong.

True. Sadly NI has stopped bothering to support its expensive hardware from just a few years ago.

For me, that’s an investment of the best part of £1,000 and is a big part of my studio setup, so it’s not getting dumped in the trash and provides me with zero incentive to upgrade my NI software. Which is money lost to NI.

Maybe if, instead of half pricing the odd plugin, NI gave existing users decent trade in offers or discounted the Komplete bundles, they might get a bit more interest from their existing client base.

You can’t keep operating a serious hardware business on the basis that people are going to throw away your stuff and rebuy it every 3 or 4 years. Not when most musical instruments last lifetimes.

Agreed I have a been a Komplete customer for 20 years. I won’t upgrade because they dropped support for their old hardware. It’s just laziness.
