How to set a BPM of greater then 300 ?

Hey everybody!

Traktor Pro 4.1.0 146

Recently, I play more and more tracks that have a BPM of over 300.

Now I experience the problem, that Traktor is limited to 300 BPM.

Does anyone know how I can overcome this limit?

I have alredy tracks that have 500 BPM and I guess even that isn't the final limit.

So it would be very helpful if I can manually set a three-digit-BPM up to 999.

That would be a great releave.

The analyzer does not have to be altered. It would be enough if I could set a three digit BPM up to 999.

I hope anyone can help me with this issue.

Unfortunately I believe this is not possible, even if you try it with the grid, 300 is the limit.

You can always use grids in half tempos.

I'll be sharing this with our devs for future feedback.

Yes, I use an integer divisor for tracks that have more then 300 BPM. But that's a bit a pain in the …. :-)
I note the real BPM in the comment colum, but that's not a very practicle way to organise those tracks.
And to sync the tempo is sometimes driving me nuts ;-D

I'm pretty sure that it shouldn't be a bigger problem on the programing-side to allow a manually set 4-digit BPM to allign the tempo while playing those tracks. I would be happy to alpha/beta test such a feature :-)
The Analyzer dosen't have to be altered for that. Mostly it detects the correct BPM for tracks up to about 265 BPM, with an integer divisor. That's fine for me.

Tracks with a higher BPM (about 300+) can be classified as Speedcore and/or one of it's subcategorys.

The sub-genre of Extratone opens the space of 1.000 BPM+ and Hypertone even 1.000.000 BPM+ :-)
I'm aware of the problem that this implies, regarding the frequency of the sound.

Music is an art and therefore every single person has it's own taste :-)

A thought to implement that:

The use of an integer multiplier in the code to create 'extra ticks' in the beatgrid.

So the visualization of the Track is still following the main-grid (not altered, still limited to 300 BPM) and is still usable. But the tempo alignment is using the extra ticks, if present, and the tempo can be aligned correctly.

I don't know the code of Trakor, so it's just a humble thought :-)
