Maschine+ workflow question - copy samples from computer to standalone M+

I use Maschine+ in stand alone mode. However I often have to make samples, or fix a sample, and so I use my computer/Daw for that. This is where I need some workflow advice, possibly there is no better way to do what I am doing.

1) Save project with samples on the M+. Put the SD card into my computer and copy the project into my NI library. 

2) Open that project in Maschine software and import samples into a new group. 

3) Save that project, and copy it back onto the card, so that I can import the project into M+ standalone.

This takes a bit of time when I am working with a big project.

The thing is I often just want to copy one sample from the computer, into my M+. You can of course just copy one sample onto the card, but then you have to scroll through thousands of samples looking for it, to load into a group on the standalone M+. That process is horrible. Even if I only make a new group and not copy the whole project, scrolling through groups just to import a sample also sucks. I had a group named 'AAA Import stuff'.

I had thought you could add a sample to a USB stick, connect that to the M+ and just import from a drive which only has the one sample, so easy peasy. But I can't get that to work. 

Am I missing some obvious workaround?

    If it's just 1 sample you could record it through audio input into M+.

    I do everything same but! I don't pullout SD card but instead I connect to computer and do what I need and it's just Final 75% Mastered Tracks.

    With crazy modulations and several projects in one... but it depends on personal preference. USB is for my 93 year old Grandpa one meaning, Memory for copy paste in both directions…why our case is so different…I would be more than happy to have that possiblity of replay on a USB stick or SSD M2 , whatever but I am doing everything just to finish what I started. Computer in some cases but M+ is capable for impossible.

    I wish same as you as a standard not a Feature like a 🐭 with ✂️, Join & Mute 🎶…i don't want to I connect the USB cable non-stop, but the USB storage is something like Standard.

    I believe they will get us that ability and much more.
