Maschine 3.0 visually slow

I am using a MacBook Pro and upgraded to 3.0 this week. It took ages to load first time so I removed loads of plug-ins from the list and that helped, but I found that after a few minutes (no matter the project) the line going along the time ruler goes out of time with the audio. It slows and glitches, so I can't visually follow where I am. Other controls become a bit sluggish too.

I have even tried abandoning it altogether and just returning to Maschine 2, but found that once a project has been loaded in Maschine 3, it fails - 2 just won't open it!

Does anybody have any ideas why this is happening or tips to stop it?

(In regards to Plug-In scanning during start, just do it once and afterwards hit Escape to exit the scanning at each start-up. Also, there is somewhere an option in Maschine software to disable scan at start-up)

Just installed Maschine 3 yesterday. So far totally new to it. Will have a look on the topics you mentioned. Myself on iMac27 and iMac24.

I have same issues as well as few others like VSTs such as ABL3 GUI not loading fully and control not working and macros for external sythns nit work. Was able to open existing project in Maschine 2 finding manually after it failed after opening in 3 . So far I am not enjoying 3 and spent far too long trying to resolve the problem. Back to 2 for me

Still installing stuff. Gimme a bit to check on Intel Mac. Are you on new M Macs?

On Intel iMac 27 (MacOS 15.1.) cannot confirm on this please. Did listen to a 11 minute track w/o zooming out to let ruler scroll. Worked all fine incl. performance afterwards. + On M3 iMac or M1 Airbook have not tested so far, but reading from others, to me it seems there are more issues with M Macs than Intel Macs?

Not just loaded, that is fine but if you save in v3 then it wont open in v2, in other words Maschine 3 projects are not retro-compatible with v2.

Which one? Year? Apple Silicon or Intel? Click the Apple icon on the top bar and select "About this mac" if you dont know.

Does it happen in any Project? Can you computer handle your current buffer size? increase it a bit and see if it gets better.

    Thanks all!

It's Intel (2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536 MB). I'm running on OS 15.1. Not sure the year but I got in about 2020.

The visual latency seems to be triggered by the addition of ANY plug-in at all, but continues if I remove them. I increased the buffer and it makes no difference. I've never had this in Maschine 2. It's crashed many times but I've never seen the playhead get out of time or controls become so sluggish. There's obviously something "heavy" in 3 that is overworking things but I don't know what I can do to combat that. Any other ideas?

You may take a look on Mac´s activity monitor from utilities. It maybe shows, where you have a bottleneck? E.g. RAM or so.

Thank you! I had a look and quit some other applications (that didn't want to quit for a while) and M3 does seem to be running OK, for now at least.

Then it was probably RAM related, more apps open = more wasted RAM. Glad you got it sorted.
