Maschine 3.0 standalone supports basic functionality but I can’t use my Kontrol S61 mk3 with the Maschine VST plugin. Is this not supported (yet?) or am I doing something wrong?
The Kontrol S MK3 integration with Maschine 3 is currently standalone application only.
That would be wierd that the driver was only for direct maschine software control and not as a plugin in a daw..
thanks for your fast response, Matthew! I hope that „currently“ means that plug-in support will follow. 😊
I too hope this
Definitely a disappointment omission.
"Hope"? Hope is not really what your customers want to hear. Surely as an employee you should know?
The MK3 keyboards were launched in a half finished state and have only just recently had basic functions added that made it fully usable. Now we get a rather underwhelming new iteration of Maschine that also appears to be somewhat unfinished. What is going on with NI these days?
Would you rather I mention a release date that might change?
What's going on is that the team and I are trying to bring focus back to the Maschine 3 software after some years of it not having had that. Keep on keeping on!
Perhaps it's also worth noting that 70% of usage is standalone application only, so it made sense to start there.
Please don‘t trust too much in your surveys. All Maschine users I know use the plugin, too. And they also had used the keyboard integration in Kontrol mk2.
This is usage data based on a 95% opt in rate. I'm not saying only 30% of users use the plug-in.
I'm saying ~70% of all usage (interactions with the software) happens via the standalone application.
Interesting data. I always though it was strange that on the forum it seems like most people use the plugin but nearly all producers I follow use the the standalone app, including myself. Would be cool to know more data usage details like this.
Typical forum skew. The vast majority of Maschine users never post anywhere near this forum
I dont think it's a forum thing, just personal bias… Happens everywhere. We all fall victim to it sometimes.
I didn't ask for a confirmation of a release date. I was referring to your choice of the word "hope". If you know it's being worked on or will be in the future then say just that.
