I hoped that there was an option to do a Program change and Bank change from the GUI and not using marco's. Unfortunately it is even not there in Maschine 3. Maybe in Maschine 4? When will that launch?
And I mean that for external Midi gear
@Robert13, I share this concern/need. I was attempting to use Maschine as the hub of a hybrid setup but the difficulty with sending program changes to external gear has caused me to take a different route. The same program changes sent from either Digitakt or from a DAW are flawless, but from Maschine either I cannot get them to work, or the timing of them with pattern/scene changes makes them unusable.
I really hope the team at NI is working on this and will provide a fix soon. IMHO, it really compromises performance (and even studio) use of Maschine in a mixed environment.
Humm It's been a while since I've looked at this and I dont remmeber the details but simply creating a MIDI Macro doesn't work?
What about pre programming it as modulation into a Pattern?
Make sure the Pad is outputting MIDI to the external gear's MIDI Port.
I don't understand why it would need to be in the same place and input and output? Just add it as a modulation down in the automation lanes just like any other daw.
But in combination with CC0 and CC32 and PC. What will be sent first. Some Synth do need a special sequence for that.
And in other DAWs it is like an option to the Midi channel. Not an automation.
I just posted this, which is a potential bug directly related to this thread.
