Yes they've said it is, but one forum member said that the M+ download is smaller (by about half) than the desktop.

So, you pay full price for half the content? That sucks... I use Machine+ in standalone only.

I don't have it myself yet, so can't confirm, but they did ask why it was a smaller download.

Only the download file size is smaller

OK, the dramatic size difference seems a little odd, but thanks @radore.

The M+ standalone version(s) of the content has no GUIs, this might also shave off some size from the M+ version? Lovely sounds in it by the way!

Definitely curious about the new sounds. Wodering whether it's worth getting or just auto-sampling from my desktop version of Komplete.

I suppose you could roll your own if you had a vast sound library to autosample from. As I dont use my Maschine+ tethered to a computer (I have a separate Maschine MK3 controller in another room for that), I find the selection on offer to be awesome

Installing on M+ shows 3.6 GB but that is the size of the installer, which is compressing the content. Once the content is extracted during installation, it does have the exact same file size on the SD card as on your desktop, whichi is 7.6 GB.

I do intend to keep my M+ as standalone as possible, despite it being powerful when tethered. I also don't really need tons of 'real' instrument sounds for the mobiles setup, but would definitely want more than their currently is, out of the box. I know why NI would want to cater to a wider audience, but I wish 'Central' was weighted much more towards the quasi-Kontakt content than 100's more kits and Massive presets.

Whether I'd skip it and auto-sample my own would depend on how intricately NI had sampled the patches, versus the work it would take me t equal or better them. However, it seems to be one of the only things currently available that I'd want that allows me to pay with a voucher.
