Control 2 halves

Hello everyone!

The worst thing for me is that I'm learning something from a book or a video and something is different there than mine, because I want to understand how something works.

I have a post on Komplete Kontrol where Kontrol is displayed in two halves:

I can't get the instrument and preset selection to be on the left and an instrument on the right. For me it looks like this:

I can add a few more views in the upper half of the window, but as in the first picture, I can't get it to work.

Unfortunately, the author of the post doesn't explain how he does it and I've already looked through Kontrol completely and can't find a way.

I'm working on Windows 10 Pro with the current version of Komplete Kontrol.

Does anyone have any idea if this works with the version and how?

@Dimugi There were quite a few changes when Komplete Kontrol 3 was introduced in October 10th, 2023, including the new browser. In the new browser you need to click on this little icon to switch from the instrument GUI to the browser.

Yes, I saw that too and I don't think it's that good.

That probably means that I can't open the browser with an instrument in the right half at the same time.

Too bad, I thought it was great!

Yeah, this same question/complaint crops up multiple times a day about how much better the layout of KK V2 browser and plugin window was, having to click constantly to open the preset browser is just stupid. They need to just let the Maschine team design KK, they have always had a good eye for how things should be accessible! The decision to make it how it is now was insane and it's one of the biggest reasons I still use KK V2. Trying to use V3 is just a depressing experience (IMO).

All I can say is I HOPE they improve it because, as so many keep pointing out, it is terrible, clunky and highly disappointing.

Well, it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who doesn't like KK's new behavior.

But at least now I know that the tutorial video I'm learning from is partly out of date.
