And who says the next ‘minor’ feature update or ‘mayor’ version upgrade (3.1…? 4.0…?) has the same timespan as version 2.0 to 3.0 had…? Maybe we have to pay this amount every year to get the latest additions to the software. Perpetual licensing, but with a subscription-like revenue stream.

Nah… I has a sense of humor and can be quite sassy myself on occasion ;)

Me personally, I'd LOVE support for various screen resolutions but, I also understand (and appreciate) an audio company's commitment to their products sounding superb for everyone (ants and eldritch alike) over focusing on aesthetics that only a portion of their customer base would truly enjoy and appreciate.

Interesting point made. Could you then share the results from a couple of recent polls in absolute numbers?

I watched a few videos and observed that some ideas identified from them for future firmware could be MPE and Poly aftertouch support, resizable GUI window, options for colour and contrast by user, export audio in same formats as import, time stretching, mp4 video playback, tighter integration with MK3 keyboards and new performance FXs etc.

Yes i agree but why not wait and add those features and then go to 3.0 and charge idk$49-$99.. what we all have seen in the past 12 years is incremental updates such as 2.15.1 -2.15.3 .. and so on.. should have waited. It turns off on the fence customers and die cards stay but they won't upgrade

I think users have a right to be frustrated if we have yet to accommodate a specific feature request - of course. Even updating Maschine 2 4-5 times a year as we have, sometimes with new features, not everyone was happy with.

But I'd encourage you not to assume figures like 75% and 90% are accurate. I'm not sure what posture you're after towards our loyal users → we've literally just built and released some of the most-requested features and intend to release more in .dot updates.

Additionally, you would be right to say that not everyone wants new sounds. You would be incorrect to say "no one really cares" about them, though. This is why we made both Maschine 3 software, and Maschine Central library available separately as well as together.

It's also essential for finger-drummers who want to play their melodic sample-chops and basslines alongside the drums!
