Inserting Scenes to an Arrangement as Clips? (Maschine+)

I was flipping through the Maschine+ online manual and stumbled upon this!

Inserting Scenes to an Arrangement as Clips

Once you are satisfied with a Scene you can insert it directly as Clips to your arrangement in the Song view.

To insert a Scene to the arrangement as Clips:

  1. Hold SHIFT + IDEAS (Song).
  2. Then press Button 1 (IDEAS) to enter Ideas view.
  3. Press and hold SCENE (Section) to enter Scene mode.
  4. Press Button 3 (APPEND).
  5. Press the pad corresponding to the Scene you want to append. You can do this more than once, tapping a series of pads will add all of those Scenes into Sections at the end of the Arranger in one quick step.

I’ve been trying to use this feature a few times now, but it doesn’t seem to be working as described. I’ve tried pressing different buttons, but nothing seems to change. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, could you please explain how to use it correctly?

Interesting! The general instructions for appending a Scene to Arrangement are slightly different (missing first 3 steps):

17.2.11. Appending a Scene to the Arrangement
Once you are satisfied with a Scene you can append it directly to your arrangement in the Song
    view.
To append a Scene to the arrangement.

    1. Press and hold SCENE (Section) to enter Scene mode.
If required, press Button 7 and 8 to select the desired Scene bank.
    2. Press Button 3 (APPEND).
Press the pad corresponding to the Scene you want to append.
→ The Scene is appended to the arrangement, You can do this more than once, tapping a series
of pads will add all of those Scenes into Sections at the end of the Arranger in one quick step.

That’s for taking Scenes and appending the patterns, this is for taking the Scenes and appending the Clips instantly versus converting.

So, I’m thinking of a way to streamline the process. Instead of converting the scenes to clips, I’d like to append them directly to the arranger and create clips right away. This way, we can avoid unnecessary conversions and save time. As mentioned in the manual, this is a more efficient approach. Hmm, it doesn’t seem to be working as described in the instructions.

Can the problem be reproduced with any Project, for example from the Maschine Factory content?

If yes, please indicate which Project to use for testing, then we can file an exact bug report.

I have reproduced the issue using the Maschine 2.5 Library Content Project: Welcome+.

The same method was applied as follows:

To insert a Scene to the arrangement as Clips:

    1. Hold SHIFT + IDEAS (Song).
    2. Then press Button 1 (IDEAS) to enter Ideas view.
    3. Press and hold SCENE (Section) to enter Scene mode.
    4. Press Button 3 (APPEND).
    5. Press the pad corresponding to the Scene you want to append. You can do this more than once, tapping a series of pads will add all of those Scenes into Sections at the end of the Arranger in one quick step.

The same issue persists: The Scenes will not generate Clips on the instance of the aforementioned method and/or instructions.
