trigger battery 4 kits with kontakt?

Some time ago I was able to load a Battery4 kit and, let's say, Abbey Road drums, and after muting AR, whatever was playing in AR was being played in Battery. When playing a MIDI groove pattern in AR drums (pressing the play button), Battery would play that groove but using its own kit. I didn't have to press the keyboard keys, the AR groove would just play in Battery and you could see individual pads being triggered, though AR was playing it.

I believe I set it up in FL Studio by routing MIDI out from AR to channel 1 and routing MIDI in of Battery to channel 1. But now when I try to recreate it, it doesn't work. Has something changed in Kontakt 7 or am I doing it the wrong way?

By the way, I cannot find Audio and MIDI settings in Battery, could this be the problem?

But in my Edit there are only Preferences.

hello the audio and midi settings only show up in the stand alone version. So habe you tried to set up kontakt as shown here to sen out script generated notes, them set this track as input for the track that hosts battery.
