S49 MK2 controlling Moog Mother32 ?
Hello, Is it possible to control the moog mother mother 32 with the Komplete s49 MK2.
I configured the midi channel 1 of the mother32 and connected a midi in cable from the m32 to midi out of the S49 but nothing…
When I use a keystep it's work directly.
Thanks in advance for your help!

For starters then you might want to make sure that the Midi channel on the S49 MK2 keyboard is set to channel 1 ?
Manual page 86 : 8.3. Using the Keyboard in MIDI Mode
Managing KOMPLETE KONTROL MK2 MIDI Templates
How to Connect MIDI to Moog Mother-32 with Arturia Keystep (sorry not a video for the Komplete Kontrol)
Sometimes also the problem can be the midi cable so you might want to check that also.
Also please notice that the 5 pin midi port on the S49 Mk2 , as far as I know , is not active while using it as a USB controller , as far as I know then it is either or (either you can use the USB or the Midi 5 pin port but not both at the same time) ,
Quote the manual page 67 : 8.4. Using the Keyboard as Stand-Alone MIDI Controller :
If you power up the KOMPLETE KONTROL keyboard without a USB connection (while the power
supply is connected), you can use it as a stand-alone MIDI controller by connecting MIDI devices
to the 5-pin DIN MIDI sockets on the keyboard’s rear panel0

Yep, sadly if the KK keyboard is connected to a PC the MIDI port is considered a PC MIDI OUT port and not a direct keyboard MIDI output. You would need to use either a DAW to loop the keyboard via a channel to output via the listed KK MIDI Out on your PC or some kind of loop back software. If you are not connected to the PC then it will work as a direct port.
Needless to say it has been requested so many times over the last decade to have some kind of option in the keyboard to set how the port should work as there should be no technical reason the MIDI port cannot mirror the USB midi port but seems the dev team have their hands full just releasing a version of KK that is stable and doesn't introduce more issues than it tried to solve…
