M+ 77% CPU on a simple project with no FX

Hi Fam ! There's a mystery i would like to resolve, cause i plan to play live soon…!

So i got a beat project with absolutly NO FX AT ALL , it's composed with 19 wav stems loaded in audio loop mode, and dispatched in 6 groups. In idle mode CPU is at 63%, once in play mode it's maxing out at 77% and makes clicks and cracks when stopping or when i hit restart button (wich i use sometimes during playing). I mention that when playing there's never more than 6 sounds playing.

On the other side I got another project (B) for a live set (sp404 like) loaded up with 48 wavs of full beats (on sampler) and fx on 4 groups + 4 groups with perform fxs and this project maxing out at 43%CPU (even when i try to play 16 sounds in same times). And got other projects way complex with lots of fxs that have close cpu usage and no audio problems

How can I resolve the high cpu usage on my beat project ? It looks like audio mode is very a CPU black hole or maybe my project has a bug ?

Do you need to change the BPM around or stretch your stems? The Audio Plug can suck a lot of CPU depending on the "Engine" type used.. So if your project/stems are the same fixed tempo you could look for alternative ways.

I don't remember the details but @ozon probably does.

In a nutshell: Set the Audio module from „Stretch“ to „Re-Pitch“.

Don’t remember the details either, but I found this thread which also related to two other threads which contain a lot of information about optimizing CPU load on the M+:

Daaaaamn that's it ! Why didn't I think about that ? Seems obvious in fact! It's working, Thanx @ozon

Because yes @D-one , those stems had the right bars and tempo so no need to stretch so I changed all the audio units to repitch mode and project now droped to 27%CPU idle and in play to 34% max !

    THANX GUYZ
