Since the FLX 6 had a Traktor TSI support do you think the recent update of the FLX6 the DDJ-GRV6 will have Traktor native support too?

I was also curious to see if there would be a hint at the presentation. But so far I haven't read or seen anything in the reviews that would indicate this. With the new technical features, it probably makes less sense and is less interesting to map the device for Traktor, because this Circuit thing from RekordBox doesn't quite fit into Traktor's ecosystem. The previous device was a bit simpler in terms of basics and for that price I would personally buy an S4MK3 anyway.

Just to clarify. The FLX6 did not have native support in Traktor but the TSI made by Pioneer.

Well, but the DDJ-GRV6 supports Serato out of the box. And DJ Pro doesn't feature Groove Circuit too. As I saw in a video on YouTube: There are even stickers supplied to relabel the Groove Circuit controls to Serato stems. :-)

I know about Serato and the stickers for it but is DJ Pro listed as officially supported yet? I don't think so.

Edit: Ah, you meant Serato DJ Pro and not djay Pro, which is what I first assumed, sorry.

Edit Edit: And yes, of course it would be cool if Pioneer would offer a mapping for Traktor as well, but I don't think that will happen.

I don't think it's quite accurate to say that Serato "doesn't feature" Groove Circuit.

The capabilities are already there to implement that functionality. It's basically muting the drum stem and playing a looped sample in sync. If those are MIDI mappable things, then a few minutes work could have those GRV6 buttons doing exactly the same thing as Rekordbox in Serato (with better stem quality too).

To do that in Traktor (currently) is not quite so easy, because there's no "live" separation.

My first thought was that this area of the circuit could also be used in Traktor to combine the pattern player or the remix decks with stems.

If I understand correctly, it should be possible to record your own samples live on the fly with Rekordbox. I think this feature is pretty cool.

But I don't see how this would be possible in Traktor. Perhaps with a separate mapping (and no live recording)? And we don't yet know whether these controls and buttons actually spit out MIDI or are hard-wired.
