I'm having the same issues. The same problems: the Midi clicks and sustained notes stop making a sound. If I set a loop and press play, then the track constantly stops and restarts randomly. I have already tried all the steps suggested above.

Even When I Bypass All Control Surfaces, the click and sound disappearance still occurs.

    Fixed it!!!๐Ÿ˜ƒ

It turns out that it was my sound card. Focusrite 2i2 1st generation. I switched the USB cable to a new USB to USB-C cable to connect directly to the Mac mini. That was a no-go. I guess the old architecture did not love the USB C. I went back to the old cable and no more clicks and no more disappearing sustained notes. There was the Ghost in the machines.๐Ÿ˜Š

    Hi guys,

I would like to share two issues I am having with NI HW and SW.

    • Firstly, I've just changed my computer to a Mac Book Pro 16' M4 Pro. I'm having the same problems with the Kontrol S49, i.e. I don't have any smart keys and can't use the key changer, highlight functions etc. in Logic.

My Maschine studio works fine and I am wondering why this is happening. I have tried everything you suggested in this section of comments and saw that as of early December 2024 all my HW gear is now supported by OS Sequoia, so I am kind of lost...

Just so you know, the connection works like this:

I have a CalDigit TB hub where I plug in a multi USB 3.0 hub for the hardware gear. I don't think it's this setup that's causing the problem, because I've tried plugging the Kontrol S49 directly into my new Mac Book and it doesn't work. Also, Maschine Studio works just fine this way.
    • My second issue is that all my NI libraries are on an external SSD, USB 3.0. On my previous Imac I had no problems loading the libraries into Logic. Now it is getting very slow depending on which instrument I am trying to load. I know it would be better to store directly to the internal SSD, but I only have 1TB and cannot afford to do that. So I was wondering if I should switch to a very fast external SSD with USB-C connection, that would be plugged into the Cal Digit Hub, or directly into the Mac Book. Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you very much, your help would be greatly appreciated, I am getting desperate here :(

    Have a nice holiday season.

If it is an S49 MK1 it is no longer supported by the Komplete Kontrol software. Just realized this myself.

Yes, @EOTU is right. You'll need to downgrade Komplete Kontrol to version 2.9.6, you will find installers in this article: Notes on Ending Software Support for Komplete Kontrol S-Series MK1 Keyboards
