When will NI integrate Kontakt with their hardware?

If I knew NI would never integrate their software with their hardware I'd never have gotten in so deep. I don't wan to have to map my NI controllers with Kontackt - that should be a no brainer - but NI can't even be bothered provide any documentation for any product that is't currently for sale. Even vendors like U-He are deny any relationship with NI because none of the NKS stuff works out other than Komplete - not in Maschine or Kontactk - I have a pile of NI hardware I'll sell rock bottom prices - keyboards, maschine or even traktor. Don't count on NI to support any product they've decided to "improve". Ask Jam owners (got one of those for sale to).

Nobody can fault you for wishing your MK2 keyboard to be able to do all the cool stuff and furthered software integration that has been done between Kontakt 8 and the S-Series MK3.

However discussion is as old as the appearance of the S-Series MK3 and Kontakt 7. Matthew_NI has explained many times that the MK2 simply does not have the hardware ability to support the kind of Direct Connection API integration that the MK3 does.

This enables us to do things like the Direct Connection API, for which Kontakt 7 and Komplete Kontrol 3 are our first clients. The keyboard talks directly to the plug-in, but otherwise handles the parameter mapping and graphical representations.

The Kontrol S MK2 does not have this capability. The logic is hard coded into Komplete Kontrol, which does all of the rendering and processing, before sending the information down the pipe to the keyboard's display. It's "dumb" in a manner of speaking. So it is not as simple as enabling it.

You must have missed the last whole year since Kontakt 7 (and now 8) have direct integration with the S-Series MKIII line of controllers.

I would have though this is common knowledge by now.

I didn't miss anything, I don't want to have to buy new hardware whenever you decide to fix a problem with the existing hardware. Why should I spend another $1000 on hardware so I can use your software? If this is your resolution to a problem that's existed years before roll out of MKIII, than screw it, I'll move on.
