Is there an undo function in Kontakt 8? - when I load an instrument and it automatically deletes the already loaded instrument in the rack, it would be handy if I could undo this?

There isn’t a dedicated undo function in Kontakt 8 for actions like loading a new instrument and replacing the one in the rack. Unfortunately, this means you can’t quickly revert after making changes.
A workaround is to save your rack setups as snapshots before loading new instruments. This way, you can quickly switch back to a previous state if needed.
Hopefully, future updates will include an undo feature.
There is an undo setting but it only applies when editing libraries, it will not work for what you are asking for:
No undo is really a big workflow impediment and very awkward in any instrument in 2025. MassiveX needs an undo as well urgently.
