The Buttons and Display light up for about 2-3 sec then the controller shuts down. It does not show up in Windows/Traktor. No "pling" sound on the computer. Any ideas if this is fixable?

No. nothing on the PC side. the controller powers up and just flasehes all lights for 2-3 sec than shuts down.
Buttons light up for about 2-3 always when you connect the controller. That's normal behaviour. Also controller will light up partially when opening traktor (for example hotcues button on both decks) … are you using a USB hub? give more details about your computer please.
