Tip: Pitch shifter on the master channel to trick your stupid meat brain

Replika XT is a pretty snazzy delay, but if you turn the feedback and ms down all the way, the mix all the way up, and choose the pitch shifter in "modulation," then it's a really good pitch shifter.

And if you throw a pitch shifter behind your limiter at the end of your mix, you can switch it on and off when your ears start to get tired and hear what you're doing with fresher ears since your brain isn't used to how it sounds pitched up and down. I wouldn't push it farther than 3 semitones up or down, which seems to be the sweet spot where you can hear the broad strokes of the song without the pitch shifting adding distracting new problems.

Keeping it off for most of the time and only switching it on when you're adding new sections or making crucial decisions can help you to have those "oh, this works better THIS way" realizations while working instead of later when you're showing it to people, as so often seems to be the case.
