Best thing I've done with KK S88 Mk3 / Logic Pro integration

I put those endless encoders to work by connecting up to 16 parameters per track.

I imagine this could work similarly in other DAWs, but this is my process:

  1. Put the Phat FX multitool on a track
  2. Map the bandpass filter, saturation/distortion, compressor, modulation mix, pre and post gain to smart controls
  3. Create reverb and delay sends and also map them to smart controls
  4. Map all of the above (or more, up to 16 parameters for the two pages of CC controls) to the Komplete Keyboard's endless encoders
  5. Save this configuration in Logic as the default channel strip

Now, every time you create a new track, you have instant access to a bunch of useful utilities via CC message from the controller. Need to roll off some low or high end to make the sound fit better into the mix? Add some motion or color to a boring sound source? Gain stage? Quickly dial in some reverb? It's all right there, just a knob away.

This has really sped up my workflow, since I can adjust so many parameters directly on the keyboard without having to move my hands back and forth from the mouse. This works both on instrument and audio tracks.

Hope this is useful to others!
