Hi, I have a device Kompelete Audio 6.
What cable is best to use to properly connect an external microphone preamplifier to the input of this audio interface?

1) XLR - XLR
2) XLR - TRS

3) XLR - TS

    We would recommend the following:

    • XLR - XLR:
      • Best used for balanced signals. Most professional-grade audio interfaces and preamps use balanced XLR connections for high-quality, noise-free transmission.
      • Use this if your audio interface has an XLR input and your preamplifier has an XLR output.
    • XLR - TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve):
      • This is also a good choice for balanced signals. TRS is essentially a 1/4" equivalent of an XLR cable and is often used when an interface has a balanced TRS input rather than XLR.
      • Use this if your preamp has an XLR output and your audio interface has a balanced TRS input.
