to learn more about installing expansions

hi

i installed the anima ascent expansion and the content wound up in my internal hard drive. instruments work fine to install, their content is on my external hard drive. so this pops up some questions.

are expansions, particularly installation, managed the same way as an instrument in native access? if that's the case maybe I made a mistake designating the content location and should just try again with another expansion?

the native access walkthrough didn't say anything about installing expansions.

thank you

    Hello,

When you open Native Access (v3.13) you should see a little GEAR ICON in the bottom left corner of the app window. Clicking that will open up a PREFERENCES window.

Midway down you'll see File Management.

Click that and you'll have 3 file location fields: Download / Application / Content

It sounds like you want your content in a different location and the apps to remain on the internal HD. Make sure that the Content field routes to the desired location on your setup. You may have to manually move content previously installed and then ensure those paths are pointed to in the various application preferences.

As a caution, make sure the Download file path in Native Access has enough space to hold the download/installation files. I ran into some issues and overlooked that parameter before. Simple fix, easy to miss.

    Hope this helps.

Tip: You can move your already installed expansion to the correct Content location afterwards.
