Issue with KK (Komplete Kontrol): "Waiting for product scan...".

Komplete Kontrol Software doesn't work.

Hello!

Since I updated many Native plugins (including Komplete Kontrol) recently on Native Access, my KK software doesn't load. Before the update everything worked fine, but now the message "Waiting for product scan..." stays on display on the loading screen of the standalone Komplete Kontrol app.

I need Komplete Kontrol to open my projects/to load my plugins.

Otherwise, Kontact 7 and Maschine 2 software launch properly without any particular issue.

I tried many things:

  • I uninstalled KK and reinstalled it (MANY TIMES)
  • I used the Native Instrument Uninstall Tool to delete Komplete Kontrol from the database and then relaunched KK after this: Didn't work.
  • I also tried going to the files on my laptop and deleting every installation file KK related.

I also should mention that my plugins including KK are installed on an external Hard Drive (HDD) to be precise. In the past, all my plugins worked albeit with a latency especially Maschine 2 (because of the Hard Drive probably). But I haven't encountered such a problem yet.

My PC and OS configuration is :

  • Windows 11
  • AMD Ryzen 9 (4000 Series)
  • Nvidia RTX (Graphic Card)
  • Asus TUF A15 (PC reference → Laptop)

Anyone; Thank you for your help in advance!

The Problem seems to be fixed.

After waiting for a long time, (about 2 to 3 hours) the screen displayed "Initializing GUI" and then the database scan started. So guess the product scan was occurring in the background on a window that wasn't visible on my computer.

I don't have an explanation about how it did work. Maybe this bug will be corrected in the future (Or is already corrected when you'll see this message).

Also, I reinstalled Guitar Rig 6 before testing again launching KK, maybe it is to be considered.

    Hi Tom,

same Issue here. Does it now start efficiently or always need 2-3 hours?
