Good evening everyone,

I'm struggling with this issue regarding setting up my pioneer djm 750 mk2 mixer to work in traktor 3 software along the traktor x1 mk2 controller , I have tried every audio settings from community suggestions and nothing worked , as mentioned in the screenshot Unfortunatly I need a midi mapping for the mixer to work in traktor , Anyone has a midi mapping for the pioneer djm750 mk2 ? if not then I will just use the mixer in rekordbox .

Would really appreciate the help on this matter as it is my last resort.

No EQ inside traktor? Yes, you got that on your mixer. That is the point of getting an actually hardware mixer. Else you can buy a 200 EUR controller.

You just need something to controller the decks with.

Like Erik said, people often combine the X1 with an hardware mixer. I use X1 myself with a xone 96.

And then switch to a layout that does not display EQ, fader, etc.

I have a strong feeling the faders work, but you have to listen to master, not channel cue.

You will see no change in the traktor UI while moving the faders. That is normal.

You can also to connect anything (CD Player, phone, whatever) to the line in on the djm, just to rule out anything being wrong with the actual faders (but I doubt that)

midi mapping? That is straight up wrong what NI wrote to you.

You just need to set the mixing mode to external and then do the output routing.

Something similar to this, depending on where you want your decks to be:

And don't forget to let Traktor have access to your microphone.

It is also a full midi mixer so in order to use it internally (like S4 mixer) the mapping is needed to control the mixer section. So it is just half wrong, or maybe we don't know all details.

l already did that Carlos but to no avail, I can only control the 3 band eq thats it (no channels ,no fx , nothing) I included the screenshot of my settings . Like everything is grayed out which leads me to believe that its a mapping thing

Everything is greyed out because the mixing is done in the mixer, not internally in Traktor. You can enable certain things under Preferences > Mixer > External Mixing Mode, but it makes more sense to just use the effects built-in to the DJM mixer.

And of course you can use the X1 MK2 to control the FX units up top as well, but they won't be post fader.

Yeah the thing is everthing on the traktor x1 is working with the software , and with the pioneer 750 djm mk2 mixer , the 3 band eq is working and the sound color eq is working too . only the other fx and faders are not working, I do have a roland 202 controller , I dont know if I can somehow connect both and have the faders controlled, that would solve the fader problem but not the other fx on the pioneer.

worst case I will just use rekordbox

The faders on the DJM are not working?

And the DJM effects also not?

Are they working with something from line input? Because if that also does not work, then rekordbox will probably not help you.

I am not sure what you want to achieve. Why do you want to have the faders inside Traktor work? You have a fully capable external mixer, there is no need to do mixing in software on your computer. You have a quite expensive unit that does this in hardware. What other effects do you mean? To control Traktor effects you can use your X1.

With a mixer like DJM-750 Mk2 you use Traktor just as a media player, let's say as CDJ replacement. To use a DJM-750 just as MIDI controller is somehow like using a bus with 50 seats instead of using a car if you want to get somewhere alone.

With my Xone:96 I don't even let Traktor show the mixer elements in the UI. I don't need them: Traktor plays out all 4 decks to my Xone via USB and I control the levels on that.

Currently all 4 faders are not working , cross fade included , also the fx I‘m talking about are the ( delay , flanger , spiral , trans , and all others

that are in the attached pic , also beat fx is not working , so yeah basically everything apart from the 3 band eq

Are the faders working with a signal from line in our phono? I mean anything besides USB.

And are you speakers connected to the djm? How do you know eq is working?

I will try the above solution and let you know carlos , about the eq thing I know it was working cause I was mixing with headphones

Maybe the faders and fx are working, you are just not listening to master in your headphones?

these are hardware fx. you can assign the channel and use it as external effects. in general: i think you mixed/confused a few things up with external and internal mixing mode. do you want to use the mixer as an external mixer or do you want to use it as an internal mixer with midi?

can you please describe your whole setup first and what you want to do with it?
