Hello,

I've been using my traktor S4 Mk2 with my mac for years without any issue. Suddenly last week it stopped wording. The master button flashes for no reason.

I tried to change the USB cable, update the drivers, change the software…etc without any success.

Any help ?

It's been a while since I used a MK2 so are you sure it's not in midi mode?
SHIFT (left or right Deck) + PREVIEW (headphones button)
I'm sure you are in midi mode.

What was the last thing you installed on macOS before you noticed the change? You're running High Sierra with a S4 MK2? Was any sort of driver that includes audio installed recently?

The first thing is to rule out a driver issue with your profile (username) on your Mac by creating a new user and running Traktor from there.

    Thanks for your help.

It happened last thursday without any reason. I did not install anything.

Yes, I have a macbook pro with High Sierra 10.13.16. (I know it's a bit old).

I'm not sure to understand. Your advice is to create a new user on my mac and to try to run tracktor ?

Yes! Please do give this a go. The reason being is that macOS will create a new profile with no previous user settings. If the problem continues then I will know that there is an issue deeper than the profile level and we can go from there.

Please try it and let me know. Just start Traktor clean with a blank library and move some audio files in from a shared folder between profiles or simply a USB. You can delete this profile later to reclaim any space used.

Nothing happened? You'll have to explain further.
Can you use the software? Does the software respond with mouse clicks?
Did you run the controller set-up wizard. "Nothing happened" isn't much to go on but I will help if you provide all the steps you took.

Yes I tried with traktor 3 and 2.

The software works but does not recognize the controller S4 Mk2.

Try the Traktor on a different PC and go from there to rule out hardware issue. Have a great vacation.

    Hello,

Another thing : I notice that there is no MAC S4 MK2 Driver on this page : https://www.native-instruments.com/fr/support/downloads/drivers-other-files/?srsltid=AfmBOoqXaYi2S0B5Gzi7RjD1W0T_FDLD4xSa0GuGpkY9qStbkE9ylaJ-

But only device updater. Any clue ?

    Have a read through this:

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410096148113-My-Native-Instruments-Hardware-Device-is-Not-Recognized#hardwarestatus

Some details under the MacOS section as per below but it would be worth going through all of this and then if you cannot find a way, reaching out to support.

All current NI devices use class-compliant technology for their operation in OS X. Therefore, no driver installation is required. If you use a class-compliant device, you can skip directly to the Firmware section of this article.
