Traktor HID Support for new hardware

Hello folks,

I have been using Traktor with CDJ2000 (MK1) and DJM900nxs for years and really loved the stability and performance of this setup. Anyway I want to make my setup smarter and bought an Opus Quad considering moving to Rekordbox. Unfortunately RB is ****** software compared to Traktor (Lags, Crashes, Slow behavior all the time, very delayed AlphaTheta Support) so I’m questioning if Traktor will ever Support any new Hardware in HID Mode like the Opus Quad. Virtual DJ made this happen already.

Don't bet on it. I think the last HID device they added was CDJ-3000 and that was a while ago. It think they never added any pioneer standalone device.

I would just use it in standalone mode.

    Hello Lord-Carlos,

    Thanks for your response.
I would bet on it as well, but a clear statement from NI would be helpful here.

I currently cannot work with the standalone mode as well since RB continues crashing in export mode as well. As I said, it’s c**p software imho.

Just asking for a friend … have you seen a video, or even how the Opus display shows the "HID" display?

Anyhow, the CDJ2000xxx (all of them) and DJM900xxx (both of them) are a solid combination and I don't think you can make a "smarter" setup than something as solid as what you have.

Newer is not always better, will it change the way you do what you do … probably not, so stick with what works.
