Hello everyone! I just purchased a KONTROL MK3 and had it delivered yesterday! Beautiful board, I gotta say! However I'm having a huge issue getting it up and running. When I connect the usbc to the host of the keyboard and then my computer it turns on and is stuck on the welcome display. I try to update the firmware and nothing happens. I power cycled it and tried again and still nothing. Haa any1 else had this same issue and have a fix for it? I reached out to NI for a resolution as well.

Thank You

Yes I've done everything...I was told to run the NI Support tool and to email the report...that it what I'm currently doing....my updates are up to date but for some reason it doesn't seem to recognize that my mk3 is turned on. It tells me to power it on and rescan the firmware but it's on...I bought a usbc hub and have that connected and still nothing...I don't understand

You've done everything on the linked list above? If so, thank you for trying those steps. If not, please do so.

    Some other things to confirm:

Are you going direct USB-C to USB-C into your computer?

When you use the USB-C hub, is that going into your computer via a USB-C or USB-A?

Are you using the 49, 61 or 88 key model?

Are you powering the keyboard via an auxiliary wall charger?

Have you also entered the serial number from the Welcome Screen in Native Access 2?

yes i have registered the controller and downloaded and installed the new komplete kontrol and hardware connection modules inside NA2…I have the MK3 88 model. I have plugged my USB-C hub into a phone charger and have that running into the port of the keyboard. I then have the usbc cable included with the keyboard running from the keyboard into the back of my computer…like the mk1 and mk2 when the keyboard is powered on should it make a noise to let me know my computer recognizes it?

Have you tried updating the DFU driver via this article? https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/16567321051805-How-Can-I-Update-the-Driver-and-Firmware-of-My-Kontrol-S88-MK3-on-Windows

I wonder if that is potentially broken for some reason, and perhaps the culprit

My computer recognized my keyboard and told me to update...I did so and native access update komplete kontrol and the hardware service but when I go to update firmware I get a error saying it failed to boot into firmware update mode...wth

Sorry to be pedantic - for troubleshooting purposes can you confirm as to whether you followed the steps to repair your DFU driver here:
