Kontakt 8 release?

Hi everyone,
I tried to use the search function before posting, I hope it's not a repetitive or trivial question.

I would like to upgrade from Kontakt 6 to 7, but I fear that version 8 may be released soon. Does anyone have any news on this please?

    Nothing of note from NI on this - so it is very doubtful that 8 will be released anytime soon.

    K7 just came out in Fall of 2022 - lots of time to enjoy that yet.

    NI won't tell any of us (here in the forums) about plans for Kontakt 8 - so not exactly sure what you are expecting. Like all software vendors - NI never pre-announce anything nor do they ever divulge any early info that I am aware of.

    But one thing that is for sure - Kontakt 6 is long since retired and no current NI libraries will run with it anymore - so if you actually want to enjoy your Kontakt experience while patiently waiting (perhaps years) for Kontakt 8 - K7 is where you should be here in mid 2024.

    If/when a Kontakt 8 ever arrives - it will be a surprise jolt of news for all of us.
