Any information on the Traktor Kontrol S3 Mk2?

I was informed by NI support that the S3 I just bought is a Mk1, and that therefore I'm not eligible for the Traktor Pro 4 upgrade (I bought it 3 days before the announcement).

I've never heard of a Mk2 S3 (I've heard of the Mk3 S2 and S4 though)!

Pretty poor info available - especially as I would have asked about a Mk2 controller before buying.

Anyone shed some light please?

    Hello,

as far as I know there is no S3 mk2. And if you get a new software or not is up to the company, Steinberg has a gace period, for example, of 15 days but if you activated just before that grace period you also don't get the new version. But of course I can understand that it's not good if it's happen to you, and I also had this with other stuff I bought, just because of a few days. As far as I can see online the S3 now comes with T4.

Uhh, that is weird. Maybe the support mixed something up, because the S3 is the same "generation" as the s2 mk3 and s4 mk3.

How I understood it, it should be eligible for tp4.

Thank you mate! Yeah I figured NI support was just spinning a story. Unfortunately a bit of a theme with them based on other online forum posts about the company.
