Ive just bought Kontakt 14 bundle and so far I've never been so disappointed with my purchase.

A significant number of the instruments take an age to load. When they do they are slow to function and are glitchy and are crashing my system.

I don't seem to able to load kontakt library 2 even though I've got the content routed to a 2TB external SSD it tells me I don't have enough room.

I've tried contacting customer support via the chat system and after initial contact I am no longer able to use the system since it won't reset.

I've never had this problem with libraries and vsts before and I am losing the will to live with this it's destroying my creativity.Does anyone have any help for any of these issues.

on your external libraries first of all make sure you are in the correct directory before running this in terminal:

chmod 777 [YOUR VOLUME SHARED FOLDER] -R
xattr -cr [YOUR VOLUME SHARED FOLDER]

And check the external drive to see if there isn't a hidden partition holding on to recycled files. What file system is the external drive? Do a screen shot in Disk Utility.

    Hi

    Thanks for your response.

Are you referring to the slow loading of the instruments or the failure to upload the library? Or both?

I'm not the most tech minded so bear with me and I will sort and get back to you.

    Thanks again

I know this isn’t really helpful, just wanted you to know that 2 TB should be fine for Komplete.

On my MacBook Pro, I have the entire contents of Komplete 14 Collectors edition, Arturia V collection, Omnisphere 2, all the available downloads for Presonus Studio One plus and various other things.

All that took up 1.65TB leaving around 350GB free

Doing the installs I set everything I could to install what I could onto the external disk, bits still got put on the internal but not that much.

I also formatted my external to APFS.

Speed wise, I don’t run speed tests often but when I do, my external drive varies from 250MB/s to around 930MB/s, I haven’t a clue why.

I’m not experiencing any glitches at all and things seem to load fine.

Happened to screenshot a test on my external earlier

2TB external SSD it tells me I don't have enough room.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned: Do a screen shot in Disk Utility. Let me know with that first so we can see the 2TB.

If we had that information we could see if a partitioned section of the 2TB had not been deleting recycled content. As you say you are running out of space, there is no way of knowing at this stage as disk speed test wasn't what is required to figure this out.
