Downoads fail
Using Native Access I was successfully downloading stuff yesterday. Today I powered up my mac forgetting to first put my external drive in. I now cant download anything that was cued because it says the location is invalid. I reset the file locations in the gui, which worked and did not complain. The red error box went away, but nothing changed in the downloads section. I then tried removing one of the folders containing the effect I was downloading at the time of failure, figuring it would try again. No such luck.
Before I retired I was a software developer. In my book this is a failure not just a bug. This sort of thing should not happen. But anyway, does anyone have a work around?

Have you checked this Knowledge Base Article: Native Access Error: "Path is invalid"
Also, maybe this Knowledge Base Article can also help as you have mentioned the external hard drive:
