Kontrol X1 2/3 Master Deck / BPM adjustment
Greetings,
I am trying to understand the DEFAULT design reasoning of X1 mk2 for BPM adjustment. (I know it can be remapped)
I know that Sync + Encoder adjusts BPM, but how can I know which deck is master without checking laptop screen every time? What is the point of deck being the master? Why not just always sync to global?
When DJing at clubs, I try not to look at the screen too much. I have to keep trying to figure out which deck I’m supposed to adjust BPM on. It’s already bad enough that I can’t see by how much percent the track is sped up or down, which is very useful info. I tend to change BPM frequently with the type of mixing I do at certain events.
Please help me understand how this is supposed to work.

SHIFT+SYNC will set Master Deck, including LED feedback.
The reason for not always having Global Master is to use tempo faders (if you have them) to adjust both deck and master tempo.
