setting up a turntable with an S4 MK3

ok having now tried a pre amp to solve this issue to no avail i'm about to give in however i have a Numark TT turntable not sure what model to be exact only has phono connections with a ground which has worked on previous mixers but whatever i try i get white noise hum

tried most thing discussed here but there does not seem to be s definitive answer

Unless of course you know better

failing that what turntable works with the S4 mk 3

Did you know that holding down SHIFT+EXT button for a second on deck A and B (on live input deck type) toggles the pre-amps?

Apart from white-noise you mentioned, what problem do you have exactly? And what configurations did you try with the S4?
