Arturia KeyStep with NI software

Hi everyone,

I guess the brand of a (midi) keyboard doesn't matter in terms of compatibility with NI software, but just to be absolutely sure - are there any exceptions? I am interested in buying an Arturia KeyStep 37 (love the number of keys) and the Spotlight Collection: INDIA.

Your input would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

Thank you and have a great day,

Klara

I have a couple of MIDI controller, including an Arturia Keystep. I have had no issues at all. One caveat, I'm using my keystep as a 'quick and dirty" alternative to my main controller (NI Kontrol S61) so I'm only using it for keys and pitch/mod sliders - I haven't used it to send CC changes, or bothered to setup templates for anything complicated - that said I don't think there's anything in the Arturia MIDI implementation that would cause issues for any NI software instrument.

Kontakt libraries have keyswitches mapped to lower octaves, with 37 keys you will need to “octave up/octave down” a lot, otherwise everything will be fine.
