Trouble connecting Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3

Hi everyone

Having purchased this over 2 years ago, Im finally getting round to using it :)

Ive downloaded all the software and have come to update the Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 firmware.

The message I get is "Please connect your Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 and click RESCAN". As far as I can see it is connected to my macbook using the USB lead and syntech adapter provided. I press rescan and still the message remains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that whilst it wasnt detecting the controller on the firmware update, when I open up Traktor, it is now picking it up. Thanks again!

1.) Syntech adapter = power supply?

2.) Is your S4 Mk3 switched on? Power switch is at the back left hand side if you are in front of the device.

3.) What cable do you use? Any kind of adapter, dock or USB hub involved? Best use a direct cable, newer MacBooks have only USB-C I got a UsB-C to USB-B cable gor my S4 Mk3.

4.) Latest firmware upgrade seems to be from 2019. If your S4 is only 2 years old chances are pretty high you already have the newest version on it.
