Playhead on Maschine Mk3 despite using all possible solutions will not Move

as itemised in the discussion title my playhead on maschine mk3 hardware using the Shift+4D Encoder will not move the playhead in the Events Window. This essentially compels me to use the software and i don't want to continue doing this. I've tried a million tutorials, am writing NI if i can get through and of course writing here. If anyone is aware of a bug that prevents me doing this pls 'holler' version i'm on currently is 2.17.5 but it's never worked on other versions over the last 2 years and i'm 'at the end of my tether'

Are you using it standalone or as a vst? I'd have to double check, but I wouldn't expect it to work if you're using it as a VST since the DAW would handle transport. If in standalone mode: Can you validate the volume/swing/tempo functions aren't active?

hey darkwaves…just saw now your reply of june 17. thanks, i'd stumbled upon the idea that it had to be in standalone mode and that the times i was following a tutorial i'd been in plugin in mode.

it's working beautifully now. totally as advertised.
