Long-time, happy Traktor user here… I recently created my first remix set for me to hold scratch samples in one column, sirens in another, etc. The remix set is comprised of 1-shot samples. I notice when I play any one of the samples in the remix deck, the deck altogether "plays" (green play button illuminates) and when the 1 shot sample ends, the deck remains "playing" even tho none of the samples are looping or playing in any way. This messes me up, since I am using decks A and B for regular DJing (track decks) and normally, the song playing becomes the master, and the one I'm cueing up can be synced to it, but I find that that remix deck still shows as "playing" and Traktor somehow thinks that this remix deck is to be the master (i guess since it's been "playing" for longer than the songs in decks A and B). In short, how can i get the remix deck to not "play" when not actually triggering samples live, OR tell Traktor to NEVER have the remix deck become the master?
Is part of the problem how I designate the 1-shot samples? They are technically gridded even tho they don't have any perceivable rhythm or tempo. Should I zero out the BPM of these samples? Can I zero out the BPM of the remix deck altogether? I believe there is a sample or two in my remix deck that does actually have rhythm and I suppose i would occasionally sync that to the master, but i am happy to forego those samples/grids, and omit them, if that gets this to play nice if i have to. Thx much!
