bugging me - the phase meter line...tracks not in time

something which has bugged me for ages!

when i DJ \ Mix timecode vinyl, sometimes, 90% of the time, if the line is in the middle on deck A and deck B the tracks are in time…however, on occasion, the tracks are not in time, i have to offset, i.e so the bar becomes about 25% distance from the central white bar.

why is this, i dont understand it????

hopefully someone knows what i mean.

you see the orange is 75% from the centre point, this might mean the track is in time.

usually the track is only in time, if there is ZERO showing, and its dead on centre

please can someone explain and put me out of years of pain tackling this!!!

I know exactly what you mean. I see this regularly and I assume it's trying to tell me I am ahead or behind by some unit of beats or bars, but the tracks are playing correctly in time with each other and the meter does not drift .

Perhaps it's measuring the bars from the first grid marker and if your grid marker is on e.g. beat 3, it thinks everything is shifted by 3 beats?
