I have the app pointed toward an external drive but it makes the folder on my main drive as well. If I detect the one on the main drive projects can’t be found by Mashine or Logic. I have to keep both to work. Please help. I’m put in a ticket.. 2 but no response. To be fair the second ticket was just put in. But the last one was a month or more ago. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find a ticket from a month ago about this topic, would you have a ticket number so I could check?

The new one is in there, so my colleagues should get back to you soon.

I'm a little bit confused by your post, it might help to clarify that for my colleagues as well.

Can you give more details, include screenshots. Native Access paths should be installation paths for your products, projects should not be stored in the same location, or I completely misunderstoood what you meant.

Ok i'll try to explain better… I have all the apps and the add ons that I bought which is a lot.. on my external drive. The NI install update app points that location. So when I open up Maschine to create a new project I assumed it was loading from that location. NI created a duplicate NI folder on my built in hard drive so I have both folders in two places. When I load the Maschine app it will say error can't load project IF I DELETE the folder on the built in memory. So I have to keep both NI folders in order for it to run right. The ticket email said sorry there is no free agent to assign this too. we will email you back when we can.

@Ron2andia Can you post screenshots to illustrate all that? The original folder, the duplicate, etc…That will probably help to see what's going on here.

I did in my original post.. but not sure what pictures would help show the issue. If you have an idea better than those let me know and I'll take them.

I can't see any pictures, do you mean you made another post?

It's a little tricky to understand the issue, that's why screenshots would really help.

Well, if there are 2 duplicate folders, you should check which one is the right one in Native Access:

    Then delete the other folder.

Hopefully you are saving your Maschine projects somewhere else?

i want to save everything in the external drive.

Well then make sure every product in Native Access is installed on the external hard drive and the installation path is leading to this external hard drive,

When you're sure everything is there, just delete the rest.

    Maybe these articles will help:

They all do which is why I don't understand the the issue.

Well, if all the products are indeed installed in the right location according to Native Access, you should simply delete the duplicate folders. I'm a little bit confused now why you are keeping these duplicates.

If I detect the one on the main drive projects can’t be found by Mashine or Logic.

Can you share a screenshot of the error messages? Maschine projects should be saved here by default:

    Macintosh HD/Users/Username/Documents/Native Instruments/Maschine 2

This location has nothing to do with Native Access or Kontakt libraries.
