Owned Maschine+ but bought second hand Jam - how to get software?

Sorry to ask such a dumb question but I can't seem to find a clear answer in forums or on the NI site.

I have a license for Maschine + but bought a second hand Jam with no license before I understood the NI ecosystem. I have been looking for the Jam software editor download and can't find it.

Do I need to cajole the NI staff for a possible license transfer in order to access a software download?

I read in a reply to similar question that said a user can access the Jam software via their already existing Maschine account but after spending over an hour searching I still cannot locate the download.

I was able to find links to peripheral supplements for Jam such as templates and cheat sheets but not the real deal druids I seek.

I'm Fighting up the stereotypical old guy ludite hill and yet I can read and my eyes/fingers do work- sadly, still, embarrassingly, I have failed thus far.

In many years of using music hardware I have never experienced such a hurdle to entry as I have here. This is not a complaint, I have no issue with NI running a tight ship, only that I, too, desire to be among the good soldiers- I just need a chance couch!

Thank you in advance for any help, I'll put in a good word for you at the pearly gates.

Assuming you're referring to the Controller Editor, that should have been installed as part of your Maschine+ package. If you don't have it, it's available on support/downloads/drivers and other files.

As is often the case, I may have answered my own question after posting this. It seems my lqck ofunderstanding of the NI ecosystem was more of a stumbling block than anything.

I thought to actually plug the Jam into the computer and after this, I was able to open the Controller Center app, (or whatever it's called) which was not opening thru the Native Access Library and instead had to be launched via launch pad. It's the bird's eye approach I was lacking and I see now that there was nothing to download, because I already had it downloaded. My confusion is that in the tutorials I was referencing the teacher's all reference to the Controller Center as " The Software" -me thinking " where the heck do I get this coveted software, dammit". Now I see- all things NI use the Controller App- it is the straw that stirs the drink.

How Do I know which version of Maschine Jam I have? Is it possible to update to a later version( and how/why)?

    Thanks.
