Folder and file structure for NI Products.
Over time I like many others have amassed many parts of the NI software jigsaw.
One of the problems of this is that occasionally files and folders do not get correctly installed and this can be due to several reasons. This requires periodic tidy ups via manual intervention.
I for example keep my Instrument and sound library on an external drive. Most but not all folders are suffixed with the word "library" in their title, but I also find folders just named "Native Instruments" which makes reference to Native Access installer activity and NI Resources which reference potential database info possibly used by NI application software.
It feels like these folders should not be in the sound library location but be part of system or application files.
So does anyone know if there a comprehensive map of where Native Instruments files and folders should be located on both Mac and PC operating systems to assist keeping the files tidy and preventing software glitching due to incorrect locations.
Thanks
David

@wyattd We don't really have such a guide but in our article on how to uninstall one of our programs you can see all the NI related files and folders on a Mac: How to Uninstall Native Instruments Software from a Mac Computer
On Mac, it shouldn't be that complicated. If you don't move files after installation and use Native Access to move or locate content you should be safe.
