simple question…. working in studio one with kontakt 7….. using KK 88 key keyboard and Mashine as midi controllers. When I turn a knob on the Mashine set to midi cc 21 it affects the parameter in kontakt 7 that I have set to receive midi cc21 data. When I turn the knob on my KK 88 key keyboard that is set to midi cc21 nothing in Kontakt is affected. Two NI controllers both set to the same midi cc… one works, the other doesn't…. BTW, I've had this question for 10 years now.

Usually within a DAW the MIDI inputs are setup in your DAW preferences and usually you can select MIDI Input for notes and possibly "Remote" inputs for CC control. YOu will need to check all that. Different DAWs work differently with MIDI and i'm not an S1 user but if it is all working in standalone mode, the problem will be with the DAW midi settings

Both are selected as MIDI inputs in Kontakt?

yes they are…. however they all have port A and port B after them as well….. I never understood the whole "port thing"

OK , here's something I discovered. On the KK 25 s keyboard the mod wheel and the pitch bend wheel both light up the midi light inside Kontakt 7 as well as simply playing a note, but the 8 knobs do not light up the midi light inside Kontakt 7.

new news…. in stand alone when I turn knobs on the keyboard the midi light lights up! So, it all works in standalone…. when I switch back to studio one and the plugin version of Kontakt 7, no go.
