Kontakt no more starting (Windows 11)

I used Kontakt 7 until about a month ago, since last week Kontakt does not start anymore: the process is started - it appears in Task Manager for a couple of seconds - and then dies without any window/GUI appearing and with no error in Windows events application.

What I already did without success:

• rebooted PC
• uninstalled Kontakt e reinstalled it, also removing related folders under AppData\Local\....
• uninstalled all versions of Redistributable C++ and installed latest version (through support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0)

Additional notes:

• the PC did not change any hardware component in the last month;
• Windows 11 is updated;
• Kontakt does not start also in DAW, neither in Komplete Kontrol latest version;
• Guitar Pro 6 does not start as well with the same behavior - the program is launched and after a couple of seconds dies before showing a GUI or throwing some error, no sign of problem is shown.
• Native Access works normally.

I also opened a support ticket last Friday but so far no answer so since I am stuck I am asking help here. What can I do to try to solve the situation?

Could be a display driver issue (a newer driver not working where an older did) ! Could also be an issue where your graphics adapter only borderline meet specifications if it is old in which case the software could have been updated to a version that will no longer run on your computer !

So what is your display adapter? / graphics card ?

Kontakt 7 requirements : Graphics hardware support for Direct 3D 11.1 (Feature Level 11_0) or higher (confusing as it is then just because it says that a graphics card can use DX12 then that doesn't necessarily means that it supports e.g. Direct 3D 11.1 (Feature Level 11_0))

Thanks but I had been using Kontakt 7 since its launch until some weeks ago so hardware requirements are fine. The NVidia driver has been updated but it cannot be a downgrade of Direct 3D capabilities...

Did you actually check what is your display adapter ? Or is it so new that you do not have to check ?

Hi PoorFellow, the display adapter is fine, it supports Feature Levels up to 12_1...
