NA Seriously screwed up.

I just don't get it. How can this thing not get fixed?? Surely I am not the only person with NA issues.

After it forced me to update to the newest version (which is stupid to force), it now just sits at "Loading Products". It has always taken a long time to load, but this is ridiculous.

Once I kill it, then restart it, it wants me to log in. So I do. Then it just sits with a screen with the "Log In" button on it. Or sometimes it acts like it is trying to install itself.

Once I kill that and restart it, it again sits with the "Loading Products".

This is bulllshyt and I am sick of it. It shouldn't take hours just to register and install one library, if it can even be installed at all now.

Please revert back to the NA Version 1 code and start over, because you have f-cked it in the later version.

I would NOT want to go back to the Version 1 code. No way, that was awful. V3 has been more reliable during product installs. It's unfortunate that the part of updating itself is NA's current weakness.

But the good news is that @Hayo_NI and other Native Instruments people are aware of this and I believe it's getting some attention and diagnosis. We need to be patient and give them a fair chance to find the root cause and work forward through the problem.

Yes, NA should work correctly, and it should be reliable for EVERYBODY, and not just some here or there. But backing out to an earlier version would just be a knee-jerk reaction that would only destroy progress already made over the last 2+ years, but would also re-break all the OTHER stuff that was broken in V1 anyway. And some of that stuff was broken products, not just a sluggish NA.

Hey lahatte, we're working on diagnosing the issue and hope to get a fix out for next release! Apologies for the frustration caused here!

I hope you all take this seriously and try to fix this today!

    This is not acceptable!

I'm pretty sure throwing a public hissy fit and making threats won't encourage them to raise you up in their priority list.

I don't really understand what kind of "public hissy fit" or "making threats" that you are referring too?

    • Please, we only asking for the valid issues to be fix ASAP rather sooner then later.
    • The only bug report we can send "heads up" are currently this forum. Normal official bug report link are also broken?
    • We only try to send and collect constructive and important information to help Native Instruments fix the problems.

I don't understand why you or anybody else have any problems with that?

    Best regards

Is officially a hissy fit. First and foremost "fix this today" isn't even a reasonable request unless you want them to patch it, ship it and don't bother verifying it doesn't mess up something else in the NI eco-system. @Hayo_NI already said they were looking into it and I'm pretty certain he knows all the things he has to look ar, diagnose and test to come up with a strategy for fixing it and assuring it stays fixed. I'm afraid I wouldn't have nearly as much confidence in your assessment of how long it should take.

This cannot be fixed in a day, NI is working on this, true.

However the stability (or lack of thereof) of NA is indeed not acceptable on both platforms, PC and Mac.

So only partially hissy fit πŸ˜‰

Oh no, it's a full on, full frontal hissyfit. Freddie is spamming a whole bunch of other threads with the same breathlessly bold-faced and super large fonted, all caps "fix this today" . That's not fair, won't make anything go faster, and it's probably also some sort of a violation of forum TOS.

And then he plays dumb when @DunedinDragon rightly calls him out on his hissyfit.

If Freddy was trying to perform detailed neurosurgery on somebody's brain and NA was the app that made the laser work or not work, then it would be a justified fit. But nobody is performing brain surgery here, so it's a full frontal hissyfit.

Hayo's team is working it with all due haste. We all need to calm down. Namaste.

I am in the same situation.

Nothing helped like re installing or installing the Daemon.

    Any hot fix soon?

Any chance to get the previous version?

I'm pretty sure harassing specific people are against the TOS of the forum.

I just sent concrete steps and straight forward bug report like in the same style I usually do as BETA tester for different companies including Native Instruments.

Nothing more or less. If you don't like it go elsewhere.

Despite everybody's good intentions then this thread appear to be de-railing into bickering and if it continues then the thread will have to be closed ! And perhaps we should do without the most colorful expressions and allegories !

Hi. Thanks for the response. I have tried to let someone at NI know that I am happy to do a zoom session or whatever to demonstrate the various issues with Native Access. Does that not interest anyone at NI? Thanks!
