So I've been using NI plugins comfortably for a few months now. Recently I decided to reinstall windows on my computer to de-clutter. Now Native Access gets stuck on the "loading products" page. I look up why that might be and find its because NTK Daemon is unable to start. Quite literally in the service dashboard, when I start the service, it runs for less than a second, than displays as stopped.

PLS HELP I AM DESPERATE

thx

Just to be sure that the latest version is installed, I would recommend to uninstall Native Access and the NTKDaemon via Control Panel > Apps

Then restart your computer and install their current versions via the installers available here:NA 3.9.1

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

    NTKDaemon 1.16.0:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yu5lx5Gip0BsrxQaCmEPdd5erlVzD0qB/view?usp=drive_linkI:

if the ntkdaemon installer fails with the error: “verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services

-> this should help: add user to "User Rights Assignment"

unfortunately that is not available in the "Home" versions of Windows and you might have to carry out these steps to enable gpedit:

    Enable gpedit on Win11II:

if the ntkdaemon installer succeeds, but the issue persists:

Please check if the NTKDaemon can be started manually in ServicesIf it is immediately stopping/crashing again:

    Did any of these helped?

I have the same issue and have tried all of the recommendations by Jeremy_NI and a few others. No luck. Ticket is open with support.

The NTKDaemonService does stop after a few seconds of running after manually starting. No dump file is created. Not sure what the expected behaviour is. Also unknown is what other services need to be running for NI2 to function properly.

Daemon.log does show it seemt to be getting stuck in an infinite loop.

@trdt22 - The only semi-workaround I have been using is going back to Native Access 1 which has no such issues. However, not all the new software will be showing, which is the reason I am back on trying to get Native Access 2 working.
