Can't register (or even see) Battery 4 in Native Access

Super PO'd at NI today. I've had Komplete Ultimate 11 for years now, and today Battery 4 just decided to stop working and drop into demo mode. I go into Native Access, and Battery is not even visible as a product; there's bunch of other ****** I don't really use that's there ( Huh? I bought it years ago as part of Komplete 11.

****** NI? This happened in a recording session...so I can manage, but it could have happened at a gig, which is unforgivable.

Regrettably I upgraded Native Access a few weeks ago...and maybe that's part of the problem. But C'mon. Doesn't your product manager work with your old products? If it doesn't, why wouldn't you tell folks that it doesn't? Hmmm, maybe it's the same way you dropped support for the S61 that I bought years ago and which no longer works with Kontrol. Thanks guys, that thing is just a wall ornament now.

If I go on the website I'm given an offer to buy it as if I'm a Komplete 8 user...uh, no, I upgraded to 11 Ultimate as part of an offer. What's up?

Can I just get the software I paid you perfectly fine $ to keep working?

When I run the standalone Battery 4 I get the same window telling me that my "demo has run out", and that I need to register with Native Access.

Can someone help me out here...

Thx.

PS: I'm glad I decided not to upgrade to a S61MkIII.... I have no faith in NI's ability to support legacy products.

Managed to get it to work by deleting the following file:

    Mac Hd/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center/Native Access.xml

But really...****** happened? That file was randomly modified earlier today; not by me.

I want to send you a warm hug right now. You have saved my day and a very important production. Thank you so much.

Glad to hear it helped you out! I found it mentioned deep in some other thread. It’s a weird one, and has me a bit worried for my live setup as my band uses battery for 808 style drum pad sounds. Guess I’ll make sure we have a good backup solution.

    Amen to that 🙂
